During the journey to Rifugio Sapienza at 1,900 meters altitude, the guide will share interesting facts about the mountain. Once there, you can enjoy a unique view and choose whether to stay at 1,900 meters or ascend to 2,900 meters via cable car and moon bus. At the summit, a guided hike around a crater will lead you to discover this majestic volcano.

Arriving at Rifugio Sapienza, located on the southern slope at 1,900 meters above sea level, your guide will give you some interesting information about the magnificent volcano and you will have the opportunity to visit the most recent lava flows and Crateri Silvestri. From up there you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama. Guests can choose to remain at 1,900 Mts or continue up to 2,900 Mts, by cable car up to Mts 2,500 and on luna buses up to the summit at Mts 2,900. Guests will be assisted by a licensed alpine guide or a volcanologist, who will take them towards a guided walk around the summit crater, everything will always take place in safety. Appropriate shoes and clothing are recommended for this excursion.
