We begin our ascent leaving the sea behind us. The panoramic road offers spectacular views of the Tyrrhenian coast and the Aeolian Islands on the horizon.
San Mauro Castelverde: The Village among the Rocks We will explore this medieval gem, perched at over 1,000 meters above sea level, on foot. We’ll wander through the narrow alleys of the historic center, admiring ancient churches and local stone portals. The crisp air and the silence of the village will enchant you. The late afternoon light is perfect for capturing the rural architecture and breathtaking panoramas.
As the sun begins to set, we will head towards the hills surrounding Castelbuono to reach Agriturismo Luogo Marchese. Immersed in the greenery of a historic 18th-century estate, we will enjoy a gastronomic experience from another era.
A Tasting of Typical Madonie Dishes Prepared with "zero-km" ingredients from the farm. From rustic appetizers (local cheeses, cured meats, and grilled vegetables) to fresh pasta courses, all accompanied by house wine. Dinner will be served in a rustic yet elegant setting, where Sicilian hospitality is at home. We will conclude the evening with the return journey, enjoying the tranquility of the Sicilian countryside under a star-studded sky, far from the city lights.
